Do I need a ticket for the Oktoberfest?
You don’t need a ticket to enter the Oktobefest and there are no entry fees to access the main festival grounds.
However it is very difficult to find a table or even enter on of the popular beer tents.
With our guided tour, you don’t need to worry about that, as we have table reservations for our tours in the biggest tents.
What do I need to bring for the Oktoberfest?
The most important thing is that you bring cash and a passport or identity card.
Make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather, as the tour will take place rain or shine.
It is not allowed to bring an umbrella.
I don't drink beer nor any alcohol, is that a problem?
Of course not. Just let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
What should i wear at the Oktoberfest?
Most Oktoberfest visitors wear traditional Bavarian clothes, which is a “Dirndl” for women and “Lederhosen” for men.
These pieces are not mandatory at all and there will also be people who are dressed in casual clothes.
However, we do recommend to dress up as you will feel a lot more integrated at the whole Oktoberfest theme by wearing the traditional Bavarian outfit.
Avoid wearing cheap plastic costumes as you will immediately stick out as a tourist.
Dirndl and Lederhosen are not considered a costume for locals and for that reason the plastic version of the traditional clothes is only worn by tourists and can even be seen as disrespectful. Better rent a proper Tracht and feel super comfortable at Trachtenverleih
Wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a jacket is a must for any outfit, please also check the weather forecast as it can get very cold and rainy in Munich these days.

At Oktoberfest, only beers beers from Munich breweries are served. But luckily, these are the best beers in the world anyhow. Inside the big beer tents the beer options are usually limited to Helles (lager beer) and Radler (shandy – a Helles mixed with sparkling lemonade).
